Bits and Bytes : Kids Can Code

Our summer Coding Class started today. We are on the 4th floor in the Tech Lab if you want to stop by.

Students started out using Kodable on iPads. Kodable is perfect introduction to programmers for readers and non-readers alike, and includes loops, conditionals and functions. Students took turns using AirPlay to show their work on our awesome HD screen.

We also spent some time doing an off-line activity called Graph Paper Programming. Students spend some time writing code, then some time as a computer executing code. There was lot of debugging.

As new concepts are introduced, students will be learning new vocabulary.
