Our first session was so much fun! After introductions, we had a discussion about science and how we have all been doing science since we were babies! Next, I introduced the special tools we would be using that day – the measuring cup, the egg beater and the whisk – but noted that we would also be using one of our most important tools – our hands! Students did the investigation in two groups. It was inspiring to see how they decided to take turns within their groups. Of course, the measuring cup was the best tool for getting the water. After the investigation, students decided that the egg beater was the best tool for making the bubbles and hands were the best tool for getting the bubbles into the bucket.
